We are a small team competing in the Cams "Improved Production", or 3J, category of circuit racing. This category gives significant freedom to develop the car whilst maintaining its direct links to the road-going version. In Western Australia, the car is raced in the 3J Under 2.0 Litre class at "Barbagallo Raceway", Wanneroo and is tuned at the Collie Motorplex circuit which is much closer to our base in Bunbury.
The car is a 2007 model Ford Fiesta XR4, also known in Europe as a ST150. It is powered by Ford's Duratec HE 2.0 motor and is fitted with the Ford/Getrag IB5 gearbox.
Race preparation began in October 2007 when the car was trailered from the showroom to the workshop and unceremoniously stripped. The first race was in February 2008 and the car's potential was immediately obvious.
